I grew up in an atheist family in the Soviet Union. However, as long as I remember, I wanted to know more about God and was asking them embarrassing questions about God and his son. Eventually, they agreed to take me to the only existing Church in the Soviet Union, an Orthodox church. There, I learned about baptism and God's Word. I was baptised in the Orthodox Church at the age of 10. Later, I was baptised with full immersion during an Evangelical campaign when I was 13 after the Soviet Union collapsed.
I want to expand my spiritual horizon and strengthen my faith; meet like-minded professionals and hear about other people's experiences and struggles; learn from the knowledge and wisdom of a mentor; learn to keep the balance between work and ministry; be equipped to navigate the challenge of integrating the professional, personal, and spiritual dimensions of my life; get greater clarity of purpose, direction, and desired impact; be provided a context and framework for consistent, effective decision making in my professional and private life; be used by God to have a more significant impact.
I work for Eastern European Mission, a non-profit organisation that publishes and distributes Bibles and Bible-based materials free of charge in 30+ countries in 20+ languages. We share God's Word with the people of Eastern Europe and beyond and seek to educate and inspire God's servants in this work. Since the beginning, EEM has made great strides to deliver on its promise of providing free Bibles and Bible-based materials in native languages, even to the most unreachable places in Eastern Europe and beyond. Today, we freely supply Bibles and Bible-based materials. These materials are given to individuals, families, children in youth camps, refugees, mission churches, public universities, public schools, public libraries, prisons, hospitals, orphanages, campaign groups, and anywhere else Bibles are needed.
