Daniel Trusiewicz

I'm a Baptist minister with a lot of experience. I have worked in two local congregations during the last 20 years. However, the most recent experience has been with the regional and national level. There are about a dozen congregations in the region which I lead. In addition, I'm also responsible for the program of training the next generation leaders on the national level of Baptist Union in Poland.
My conversion to Christ took place at the age of 16. After participating in a Baptist youth camp in the summer of 1976, I decided to submit my life to God and consequently asked for an adult baptism. Later I was active in a youth group of the Baptist Church in Hajnowka (Eastern Poland). This was a particularly exciting process of discovering my spiritual potential and a call to Christian ministry. Eventually I entered the Faculty of Protestant Theology at the State University in Warsaw and completed the five-year course of theological studies graduating with the degree of Master of Theology (1978-82).
My defining moments have been, my conversion to Christ at the age of 16, later the theological training and pastorates in Koszalin and Wroclaw, as well as my present ministry of coordination church planting in Eastern Europe. The others that impacted my faith were of course my parents, local and international Baptist leaders like Billy Graham, both his public ministry and books, as well as John Stott, Rick Warren, and others. The defining moments of my Christian walk have been connected with the major decisions and challenges with regard to ministry as well as family life; for example, the birth of my children.
I want to learn from others and hopefully also impact others. I appreciate the excellent teaching and good books which are available at the Forum.
After completing my theological training, I assumed a pastorate in the Baptist Church of Koszalin and was ordained a Baptist minister. I worked in the Baptist Church of Koszalin for 13 years (1983-96). In 1992, I became involved in the national evangelistic ministry of Baptist Union of Poland. In 1996, I accepted the call to pastor the First Baptist Church of Wroclaw. During my 8 years of my pastorate the congregation grew and became the largest Baptist church in Poland. In addition, a couple of new churches were planted. In 1998, I became the regional pastor of the Baptist Union in Poland. I was responsible for the lower silesia association.
I have influence on many others, including the younger generation of leaders in my country, as well as, numerous contacts in Eastern Europe.
