Daniel Jokl
Daniel Jokl is a national leader of the Free Evangelical denomination in the Czech Republic.
I decided to follow Jesus after hearing some teaching when I was 14. After that, I regularly visited church but lived with many compromises.
I started living as a Christian after I had fully begun attending university. God used other Christian students to influence, teach, and mentor me. I began to read the Bible a lot, which was very refreshing. I became involved with a Christian scout group. The leaders of this club inspired me. Later, I attended small groups and took on leadership responsibilities in the church.
The Forum has given me new ideas, encouragement, and a new network of ministry contacts; it has led me into new areas through the work of the Holy Spirit. After the Forum’s workshops and lectures, I can better understand and serve the youth.
I am a national leader for my denomination. I work with leaders and children ages 4-15 in the Czech Republic. We have about 70 groups with 700 kids in them. In addition, I am the executive chairman for the non-profit organisation Dorostova Unie, which works with children. I also lead the outdoor club at my local church.
I led Christian Scouts, was an assistant pastor, and was a youth group leader. In addition, I helped plant a new local church. I have been a church elder and a vice-chairman elder.
