Cristian Bulica
Cristian Bulica is a staff member at Vox Domini Church in Romania, leading Bible studies and organising Christian events in his community.
I was raised in a good Christian family and exposed to God's Word as a child during the communist regime. It was in a Baptist church that my sense of belonging bridged my fear of having real friends. In following Christ, I have found true fulfillment and purpose.
My exposure to the Gospel in the church was predominantly the beginning of my journey to Christ. Also, my parents exemplified Christian faithfulness, as they often helped others who were in need. As a student, I had people who invested in me, helping me to grow in knowledge and deepen my faith. Also, Bible studies related to marriage, faith, apologetics, and relationships helped clarify my understanding in these areas and strengthen my faith. More recently, I was challenged to resolve painful, yet ultimately fruitful situations in which people were causing division in the church.
Wisdom to understand, anticipate, and prevent various causes that lead to apathy, tensions, or lack of involvement in organisational life. Information from those who have dealt with similar challenges. The importance of vision in keeping a live and perpetual motivation to fulfill our calling from the Lord in spreading the Gospel around the globe, also in the marketplace. Practical steps to deal with conflicts.
I am the coordinator of a church Bible study group which meets every other week to worship, pray, study, and share meals. Also, as a church committee member, I handle administrative issues, the organisation of church services, and various annual activities. I help organise several main Christian events in our community, each with 100 attendees on average. I supervise the collection of funds, special accommodations, meals, lodging, sound system, logistics, and handle unexpected changes at the site.
I led a small discipleship group and a translator for our foreign visitors at the church.
I strongly desire a better understanding of my calling and spiritual gifts in this period of my life, and I want others to walk alongside me. I have noticed that Christian events have attracted many who are drawn by the personal contact with others, sharing experiences which are remembered long after the event. These events provide the opportunity to blend creativity with organization, to help others develop a deeper connection with Jesus Christ.
