I am a Christian scientist in France. I have just finished my master's degree in Materials Science. I am continuing my studies for a Ph.D. My research topic is the X-ray spectroscopy of actinides and lanthanides, both experimentally and theoretically.
I come from a missionary family; my parents have been actively involved in the ministry ever since I was a young child. I am happy to say that they were the ones who introduced me to Jesus. When I was a teenager and responsible for my own decisions, I kept my decision to follow Jesus and started seeking him independently. I love reading and learning as much as I can. So, my way of looking for him and the truth was through the Bible. By reading and studying the scriptures, and feeling the touch of the Holy Spirit, I decided that I would follow Jesus.
I want to meet other Christian scientists who would share their stories, learn from their experiences, and be strengthened and encouraged to share the gospel in my workplace. I am interested in learning more about challenging topics such as creation, evolution, and issues on the faith and science debate.
During my first year in Europe (from September/2020 to May/2021), when I was living in Rennes, I participated in many activities with the Agapé France ministry. As I was part of an international master's program, it was nice to be a "bridge" between the Christian community and my classmates. I got involved in evangelism activities with the students and could share the gospel with my classmates from all over the world. It was a blessing! Afterward, I lived in three different towns (Nuremberg, Torino, and Grenoble) to study (Erasmus Mundus program) and work (internships). As it was a very short term in each place, I could not get involved in many activities, despite finding a church community to attend the services during the weekend. As I plan to stay in Grenoble for the next three years, I pray for guidance on how God wants to use my abilities. I still don't have the answers, but I hope to find a way to actively help make his name known (especially in the scientific community).
