Chulho Han

Chulho Han is a director with Mission Partners and helps mobilise the Korean Church for missions.
My family members have been Christians for several generations. After the passing of my father, while I was in high school, I started attending church regularly again. While studying the Bible, I realised I was a sinner, discovered the grace of salvation through Christ’s crucifixion, and accepted Him as my Saviour.
When I entered university, I participated in IVF/IFES (International Fellowship of Evangelical Students), where my faith grew rapidly through Bible study, discipleship training, reading Christian books, fellowshipping with other believers, and teaching the Bible to younger students as a student leader. After graduating, I began serving as a full-time staff member at IVF (IFES) and eventually on the East Asia international team of IFES, which furthered my spiritual development.
I look forward to meeting many European mission leaders and field practitioners and learning from today’s European mission movements. I also hope to share the current challenges facing Korean missions and engage in meaningful discussions on how we can move forward together.
As the current director of Mission Partners, I am leading the organisation to mobilise the Korean church for missions through education and training, networking, information and publishing, and forums and seminars. Our educational program includes Perspectives (Perspectives on the World Christian Movement) training, with approximately 3,000 participants each year. We support church mission mobilisation through various networks, forums, and seminars. Our publishing ministry also develops and distributes diverse mission resources to local churches.
After serving as a student leader with IVF (IFES) during university, I joined their full-time staff. After completing my studies at the London School of Theology (formerly London Bible College) and returning to Korea, I worked as the representative of GCF (Graduate Christian Fellowship) at Korea IVF (IFES). Later, I served on the East Asia International Team of IFES and then returned to Korea and became the Mission Korea Representative. Mission Korea is a coalition of Korean mission organisations and university student ministries that mobilises young people for missions, similar to the Urbana Conference in the US. Through this ministry, I played a crucial role in the remarkable growth of Korean missions during that period. I have also served for years as the General Secretary of the Korea Lausanne Committee and am currently the Vice Chairperson. Recently, I was part of the International Program Team for the 4th Lausanne Congress held in Korea.
Although my ministry is focused on Korean missions, I believe European leaders and I can mutually support and learn from each other. I can also assist those interested in the Perspectives mission training course, which is spreading globally. Serving as the Perspectives Asia Director allows me to provide insights and support regarding this program.
