What is your ministry?

I have a leadership role with Eurorelief, a Christian humanitarian organisation that provides aid to Lesvos and Samos Islands refugee camps in Greece. I often lead the Bible Study with the volunteers as part of the humanitarian work. Also, I am leading the local Evangelical Church of Mytilene with preaching, counselling, and youth work.

When did you trust Christ?

I decided to trust and follow Jesus at a youth Christian conference when I was about 17 years old. I heard the Lord tell me that I must choose to live for him or away from him; I cannot live with God and the world. The next day, during the Sunday morning preaching, I responded to the call to give my life to Jesus.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

One crucial point in my Christian life was when I decided not to miss church because of work. (At work, it was prevalent to work late hours.) There was pressure from my company, but I took a firm position that the church was first. God blessed that decision and brought me closer to Himself. Another important decision was my decision to move to Lesvos island, as we heard God calling us to move to Lesvos and to be involved with and the humanitarian work and with the local church.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I expect to meet people of God and be affected by them, share my vision with others, and see how God works in other ministries.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

In the past, I have served as an elder of an Evangelical church in the suburbs of Athens (Afthoni Zoi). I also served at the Russian-speaking church of Athens and invited preachers from small churches and congregations in the Athens area.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

God is bringing people to the island of Lesvos, both refugees and volunteers, and giving them an excellent opportunity to serve both groups and impact their lives. Also, through the local church, God allows the reaching of local people on an island in religious darkness.
