Benjamin Sramo
I lead a team of around 7 members responsible for our weekly youth groups. I aim to serve and disciple the leaders to grow in their faith and servant hearts for the youth in Ruzomberok. I am part of the leadership of the English camps in TC Kompas (Slovak Josiah Venture partner). The aim is to become a full-time missionary for Josiah Venture gradually.
I grew up in a Christian family, but the first time I believed that God was real was when I was a young teenager in a Christian camp. God showed me my sinful nature and how He loves me simultaneously. I invited Him to my broken heart, and he filled me with His Spirit. I had to learn to walk in obedience to read the Scripture daily, to be baptised, and to be part of His ministry in my local church and the church in Slovakia.
My defining moments have included people speaking prophetic Bible verses, gaining vision over my life, God healing my broken elbow, challenging myself to discipleship, and taking on responsibilities in youth ministry.
I hope it will equip my youth ministry and the leadership in it.
I hope to take more courageous steps to live my life as a disciple-maker. I believe it will not be a desperate effort to achieve something "worthwhile". I hope that my different lifestyle and leadership will ignite the passion of my fellows to create a healthy environment for the growth of youth in our town. In one year, I hope to lead a small group of new believers and walk alongside the lives of three young Christian leaders.
I am the leader of a youth team in Ruzomberok. I have been leading a team for a gospel-sharing camp (partnering with Josiah Venture) for three years. I am stepping into the leadership of the youth camps in Slovakia.
I am teachable and ready to receive what God will teach me in the coming season of taking on new responsibilities. I love God and our youth, and I believe He wants the new generation of His kingdom to go and reach the unreached. I want to be part of His movement.
