Balazs Harmathy
I serve at my home church and at REFISZ, a nationwide organisation for youth people. I lead a youth group and our church band at my home church. At REFISZ, I’m a board member and will possibly start working there as the CEO in the coming months.
I was born into a Christian family, and my parents are pastors. So, as I grew up, my faith has grown with me. In my teenage years, I had a lousy era, then an accident with my bike. Fortunately, I wasn’t hurt, but after that, I understood what it meant that Jesus did it for me. It was in 2016.
My parents are an excellent example for me. I have attended the REFISZ summer camp every year. There, I met and listened to a lot of Christian people. There, I learned a lot and started serving at camp. I brought everything that I could back to my home church.
I hope that I will come home super motivated with fresh ideas. I also hope to learn how my team could work more efficiently.
I have been in this position of leadership for some time now.
I have a vision for the youth ministry in Hungary, and I think I could do a lot to achieve it through REFISZ. I already serve a lot, but I always have more ideas than I could implement.
