What is your ministry?

I am a preacher. I pastor six churches. The gospel is my priority. On top of this, I oversee a non-profit organisation that works with the Roma Gypsy community. Through this non-profit, we run an after-school club, kindergarten, farm, and an orphanage currently being built. I seek to train new leaders from within my churches; the work is too much for one man. I have a network of other pastors in the local area who are also working with the Roma Gypsy community. I often train and teach them and young people for missions, especially in the gypsy context.

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a Christian family. As a teenager, I realised something was missing, but I pretended to be happy. I was looking for things to fulfill me, and I was also scared about the end of the world and Jesus' return. I prayed each night that He wouldn't return because I knew I needed to change. I struggled like this for two years. I went to a Christian camp that had evangelistic meetings every night. I was touched by the testimonies of my peers and what they had in their lives that I did not. I knew that I needed to make a decision. After the meeting, I went to one of the camp leaders, and he prayed with me. I accepted Jesus as my savior that night.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

One person who greatly impacted me was a youth leader who organised Bible studies for young Christians. I learned so much about studying the Bible from him. My grandfather was a committed Christian who knew the Bible very well. We had a lot of conversations about faith and ministry. Later, I felt called to plant churches among the gypsies in my hometown, so I went to the seminary to train.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

Being ministered to by other teachers and leaders will be a blessing. I will be able to meet people in similar situations and talk with them about the challenges of ministry. I will learn new ways of reaching more people with the gospel. And I can rest from the pressures of ministry for a few days.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

After graduating from seminary, I moved straight to Reghin to be a pastor. I have been there ever since. I now pastor that church and five others in the area.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

Since working with the gypsies, I have seen many repent and come to faith in Jesus. Where there was no church and no members ten years ago, now there are 50 members, and the church is regularly packed with 200 people. But their education is not good, so learning and growing is slow. I spend a lot of time visiting people and helping them with problems. I cannot learn more about ministry myself because I have so little time.
