Áron Szlávik

Áron Szlávik is a worship leader and presbyter in training at his church in Hungary.
I grew up with a Christian mother and always had faith in God, but between ages 18 and 20, my faith became personal and I committed myself to Christ.
Being involved in IFES and my youth group helped me grow and develop a more solid, practical faith.
I hope to gain new insights and tools to successfully lead the spiritual life of others and navigate hard times. I also want my motives and theological basis to become clearer, more true, and more biblical.
As part of Agora Christian Church, I lead worship and participate in church leadership and decision-making. I also lead worship at another church and am mentoring a university student through IFES, helping him dealing with challenges in his studies, ministries, personal life, and faith.
I led a student group at my university for one year and served as a board member in IFES Hungary for three years. In September 2024, I started my 'probation time' to become a presbyter in my church.
People tend to see me as trustworthy and responsible in my roles and tasks. They see me as having multiple talents in dealing with people, building community, and bearing loads. Through my involvement in many types of Christian communities, I have learned numerous lessons, often through my mistakes. I am looking for opportunities to be a better servant and co-worker of God to impact the lives of others.
