What is your ministry?

I am the Executive Director of a small nonprofit organisation that helps the community improve water and sanitation in rural areas in Kosovo. This has been my ministry for the last 14 years. Besides water and sanitation, we visit those families with our church and bring essential supplies for their daily use.

When did you trust Christ?

I was born in a traditional Muslim family. I always believed that God exists and sees our actions and judges based on these actions. I believed in his holiness. However, the concept of a personal relationship or praying directly to him did not exist in my religion at that time or in my worldview. My family's knowledge of the Bible and Jesus was minimal. So, I did not know much about Jesus' mission and sacrifice for all humanity. After practicing Islam for some time, I came to a point where I was feeling very empty but had no clue about the reason for that emptiness. So, I wanted to know more about this life and heaven. So, this friend of mine started telling me about a relationship with God, the Bible, and Jesus. There, I began to learn more about the Christian faith. I decided to follow Jesus right after finishing high school in 2005.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

I try to live daily for God and do kingdom things. It is worth living for Jesus. Bringing the good news and discipling people around us is and should be our goal as Christians. There is hope and reason to live daily, knowing God is with us and for us. Being part of the local church and participating in different training with organisations like YWAM helped me to grow in my faith.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

The European Leadership Forum will be an excellent opportunity for me to meet new people from different countries with different kinds of ministries in the Kingdom of God. It will be a time to pray, worship, get encouraged, and network with other brothers and sisters in Christ.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I have been part of Gideon International. I staffed a disciple training school with YWAM back in 2011 in Kona, Hawaii.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

It's an essential and practical need that those people have, as well as water and proper sanitation. This is an excellent opportunity through water projects to bring the good news and share the living water. New ideas/equipment to improve drinking water can be an opportunity to minister to those people in remote places in Kosovo.
