What is your ministry?

I am a theology student who dreams of becoming a pastor in the Faroe Islands. Right now, I am involved in my church's missions/outreach team, in charge of worship, and also a preacher. My wife and I have a heart for discipleship and are involved in youth ministries and youth camps in the Faroe Islands.

When did you trust Christ?

I was raised in a Christian home, but my decision to fully commit to following Jesus was made at a Christian youth conference in 2016. It was a big youth conference in Germany, with over 4000 people from all across Europe attending the conference. Seeing how these people got together to praise the Lord and the joy that these other young people carried, I knew I had to deal with my sinful life and fall at the feet of Jesus and his cross. He spoke to me in a dream that night and gave me a vision to move to my second home country, the Faroe Islands, and be a Christian leader there. Two years later, I did, and my life has never been the same.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

I attended Bible school twice. First in YWAM South Africa, Muizenberg in 2018. At 18 years old, I learned so much about God and his heart for the nations. The second time I went to YWAM was with my wife. We went to Hawaii and served in Turkey. Going on this journey with my wife was life-changing, and we learned so much about how to serve the Lord together as a married couple. Last year, I decided to trust what the Lord wanted me to do and study theology in Denmark. This has also been so amazing. I am so blessed to be able to learn more about His word every single day. Reading Greek and Hebrew has also been so inspiring.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

It was indeed the most inspiring event I have ever attended. I was able to learn so much biblical wisdom and meet and mingle with people who are walking their talk. Being around people with such a heart for serving the Lord, both in words and practice, was amazing and inspiring. Also, the multicultural aspect of people from Europe (and worldwide) coming together to worship the Lord and looking to serve him more wholeheartedly was terrific.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I have been serving primarily as a worship leader but also preached and taught in youth ministry.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I dream of making an impact in my home country, the Faroe Islands. We don't have a lot of theologians, and there also is a lack of leaders wanting to invest in discipleship. Attending ELF will teach me the tools and resources to make people across my nation pursue intimate relationships with the Lord. I long for my people to once again be filled with the Holy Spirit and guided by their faith in God. The Faroe Islands is one of the most Christian countries in Europe, but secularism is on the rise. I want to be the change in this younger generation that is turning their lives away from the Lord. I once did the same thing. I once was lost, but now I am found and not giving up on my people and nation!
