Anton í Liljedal
Anton í Liljudali is a student at the Dansk Bibel Institut in Denmark.
I was raised in a Christian home, but my decision to fully commit to following Jesus was made at a Christian youth conference in 2016. It was a big youth conference in Germany with over 4,000 people from all across Europe attending the conference. Seeing how these people got together to praise the Lord and the joy that these other young people carried, I knew I had to deal with my sinful life and fall at the feet of Jesus and His cross. He spoke to me in a dream that night and gave me a vision to move to my second home country, the Faroe Islands, and be a Christian leader there. Two years later, I did, and my life has never been the same.
I attended Bible school twice. First at YWAM South Africa, Muizenberg, in 2018, at 18 years old, I learned so much about God and His heart for the nations. The second time I went to YWAM was with my wife. We went to Hawaii and served in Turkey. Going on this journey with my wife was life-changing, and we learned so much about how to serve the Lord together as a married couple. Last year, I decided to trust what the Lord wanted me to do and study theology in Denmark. This has also been so amazing. I am so blessed to be able to learn more about His Word every single day. Reading Greek and Hebrew has also been so inspiring.
The Forum was indeed the most inspiring event I have ever attended. I was able to learn so much biblical wisdom and meet and mingle with people who are walking their talk. Being around people with such a heart for serving the Lord, both in words and practice, was amazing and inspiring. Also, the multicultural aspect of people from Europe (and worldwide) coming together to worship the Lord and looking to serve Him more wholeheartedly was terrific.
I currently serve as a preacher and worship leader in a Faroese church that supports the Faroese diaspora living in Copenhagen. I also lead the missions team, which focuses on reaching out to Faroese students living in the city and sharing the Good News with them. Additionally, I lead men's ministry small groups. My hope is to offer these students a sense of community and spiritual support during their time in Copenhagen.
My past leadership roles include serving as a worship leader at Christian youth camps and events in the Faroe Islands, where I was responsible for leading worship. I have also preached and taught in our youth ministry.
Investing in my ministry is an opportunity to support a mission that spans across nations while deeply focusing on the growth and discipleship of men. Through years of service as a worship leader, missionary, and theological student, I have been called to build strong, Christ-centred communities. I am passionate about helping men grow in their faith, become spiritual leaders, and live with integrity. As I prepare to become a father, this mission has taken on even greater personal significance. I see the importance of raising the next generation to know and follow Christ. Your investment will enable me to continue this vital work of discipleship and outreach—transforming lives and impacting families and communities both locally and globally.
