Annayiz Goutier
Since 2016, I have been the national leader of SFC in Belgium. I am also part of the compassion leadership team at my church – Vineyard Brussels.
It was in August 1991, and I spent a month with extended family in Montreal, Canada. I was 15. Throughout the month I spent there, God used my family and their church family to witness to me. As I attended a youth camp that summer, a clear presentation of the gospel was made, and the Spirit enabled me to understand and respond.
I moved to the USA for work in 2001 through the ChiAlpha Christian Fellowship (XA) ministry. I was formerly mentored and trained to mentor others. God has constantly placed people in my life who invested in me formally or informally. God has placed a desire in my heart to invest in younger Christians. He has been using lots of people to help me grow. Through the ministry of XA and then Students for Christ, I have had mentors for almost two decades. In 2008, I became a local leader after an internship with Students for Christ. In 2018, I sensed the Lord was calling me to invest more time in the ministry. Trusting Him, I quit my job and started raising support, which is unheard of in French-speaking Belgium. God has been providing. This has caused me to grow in my faith and reliance on God.
I believe God gathers people with similar burdens to bring encouragement, vision, and challenges. I think ELF will do this for me.
I was a volunteer with XA and SFC and served the city as a project leader. I became an SFC local leader at the Louvain-la-Neuve Catholic University in 2008.
Students on campus are at a crossroads in their lives, at a season where worldviews are formed or solidified. They are making decisions for what their future should look like, they are open to trying new things, and SFC wants to be a community on campus for young Christians to have fellowship, grow as disciples, and invite others who do not know Him to encounter Him, to follow Him. We aim, led by the Spirit, to make Christ disciples on the campuses of Belgium, Christ-centered future leaders in their field.
