What is your ministry?

My ministry in the church involves working with children, teenagers, and youth—I teach in Sunday school, children of middle age. I also have personal conversations with them when needed (because of problems in their family, for example). In addition, every year, I serve on summer camps for children. I also help lead a youth group in the church and prepare lectures for youth group and meetings (on Zoom and in-person), and I'm part of the worship team in our church.

Also, as a psychologist, I want to use bible principles, even in my workplace where I help people with mental problems and disorders who are not Christians or do not have a personal relationship with God. However, I am often in a dilemma about how I can use this in a non-Christian environment. On the other side, I want to learn more about how to help people in the church who have a relationship with God but are facing mental disorders or problems in their marriage.

When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in Christian family, but I finally accepted Christ into my heart at a children's camp. It was the first time that I truly understood God’s love and greatness and felt His wonderful presence. I have walked with and trusted the Lord since then. I am looking for His will in every situation and trying to totally trust Him in both good and difficult times.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

The first defining moment was at the children's camp where I accepted Jesus as my savior. Other defining moments have come through different difficult situations, for example when I had a problem with my physical health. It has been during these situations that I have really learned how to fully trust God, that He is with me no matter what happens, and that His will and plans are the best. Another important time was when I was a university student. During school I started to be more involved in serving in our church. I started to help in Sunday school as a teacher and I also became very involved in our youth group by preparing themes and talks. God has shown me how He wants to use me in different ways and also how I can use knowledge that I received as a psychology student to serve in the church. Now when I work as a psychologist, I see how God teaches me new things and shows me He can use me in new ways.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I want to learn new things from people who serve God with all their hearts and are greatly used by God. I also want to experience God in new ways, learn about what God has for me next, and learn how to improve to better serve in ministry in our country. For the past two years, the Forum has helped me to understand people more and help them from a Christian perspective. The Forum also gives me a lot of opportunities to meet extraordinary leaders, who are great examples and I can really learn a lot from them.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was one of the leaders of the youth group in my church.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I have learned a lot of new things on Forum, especially when helping people with their problems in the church. For example, now I understand emotions from a Christian perspective, how Jesus sees our feelings, not only in that typical psychological way. This helps me better understand our children's emotions in church, and it is easier for me to help them when they have problems.
