Andrei Scepanschi
Andrei Scepanschi is an elder and Bible teacher in Romania.
There were two moments in my life when I called Jesus in my heart as Lord and Saviour. The first was when I was four years old. My parents used to read me biblical bedtime stories, and one night, the story ended with a call to repentance, asking Jesus to be the Captain of my life, which I did. The second time was when I was 14 at a church summer camp. The preacher helped me understand that I need Christ to change my life.
Many people have impacted my Christian life. My parents, who have been genuine Christians for as long as I can remember, helped me with my first steps in faith. Then there are the children's and youth group leaders, with all their lessons, and, of course, the church pastor. Another person close to my heart is Beniamin Faragau from Cluj-Napoca, where I attended college. He helped me fall in love with the study of God's Word.
Participating in ELF would greatly help me serve the Body of Christ by developing better organisation and understanding of the ministry. I hope to gain a renewed dedication to serving the Body of Christ and be spiritually refreshed by my time there.
I am an elder of the church in my second mandate. Additionally, I am one of the Bible teachers in the church, and I occasionally preach. I also sing in the choir and am a caretaker for the small groups in our church.
From my youth, I loved to serve God in many different ways. I was involved in the church program when I attended college in Cluj-Napoca. I attended a weekly prayer group and then became that group's leader. When I returned home to Arad, I brought the vision of the small prayer groups to my church, and now I supervise all the small groups in our church. Also, I am a Sunday school teacher, a choir member, and a church elder in the second mandate.
I think the most crucial aspect of a Christ follower is having a willing heart. All who know me can say that I serve the Body of Christ in various ways. All I pray is to remain humble in helping others. God gives us gifts so we may support His Church.
