Andrei Miraute
Andrei Miraute is a pastor in Romania.
When I was 13 years old, I watched a video that showed how the universe is powerful evidence for the existence of God. Having always been fascinated by science and the depth of the universe, I realised how great the God who created it is and how small I am compared to Him and the universe. More than that, He loved me so much that He gave His Son for my sins. So, I understood the gravity of my sins and my need for God that day.
The first such moment was when my parents got divorced. I was only a teenager, and I was already following God. That was when I understood the true need for a holy life. The second defining moment was when I decided to study theology at Emanuel University. I had no money for tuition or accommodation, but against all these obstacles, I wanted to go there. My mother told me that she couldn't afford it, but God provided and was gracious. That was when I understood how dependent I am on God.
At the Forum, I hope to gain the information and tools I need to be a better teacher and shepherd the people in my church. We are currently expanding our children's ministry, and more families are thinking about joining our community. The Forum will help me grow in my ability to lead the people I am responsible for and to make the best possible decisions for the congregation as we grow.
I am the pastor of a 70-member church. We have a mission church on a farm, and I also supervise an Awana group that interacts with non-Christian children from the village. In addition, I lead a small mission group from our church to assist a neighbouring church, and I lead a small prayer group with young families. In these roles, I pastor, counsel, teach, and lead the church and all its ministries, including the children's and youth ministries and personal evangelism.
Besides being a pastor, I have led Bible study and prayer groups. In addition, I have led students in serving smaller churches in Bihor County, Romania.
I understand that I have many things to learn for the ministry that God has called me to serve in. Lord willing, I will be in ministry for the rest of my life. Investing in something that will last for a long time and in someone who wants to become more capable in what he does is good. I want to develop the gifts God has given me and serve as much as possible.
