What is your ministry?
I am the Executive Director of Partneri, an organisation that seeks to see Latvia transformed by the love and power of Jesus Christ. Some of our projects include holding summer camps and retreats for artists, organising art exhibits with spiritual themes, and leading seminars and workshops. I am also a board member of the Latvian Evangelical Alliance. Our ministry provides help to Ukraine.
When did you trust Christ?
I became a Christian in the Baptist church when I was 14-years-old. I repented of my sins and Jesus forgave me.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
My father was a Baptist minister, so I learned much about the Christian faith from listening to his words and watching how he acted. Later, I was a student at Moscow Bible School, the Latvian Baptist Seminary, the Latvian Theological Seminary, and Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. Again, I learned so much by studying God's word at these schools.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
The Forum helps me be a better leader and helps us connect with other Christians and Christian organizations in Eastern Europe.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
I have been a Baptist pastor, the president of the Latvian Evangelical Alliance, the vice mayor of the Riga city council, the Vice President of the Volleyball Federation of Latvia, and a board member of the Latvian Olympic Committee.
