Almers Ludviks
Almers Ludviks is the Executive Director of BBI/Partneri, a Christian organisation in Latvia that works with artists and churches.
I became a Christian in the Baptist church when I was 14. I repented from my sins, and Jesus forgave me.
My father was a Baptist minister, so I learned much about the Christian faith from listening to his words and watching how he acted. Later, I studied at Moscow Bible School, the Latvian Baptist Seminary, the Latvian Theological Seminary, and the Western Conservative Baptist Seminary. Again, I learned so much by studying God's Word at these schools.
The Forum helps me be a better leader and connects me with other Christians and Christian organisations in Eastern Europe. I am looking forward to sharing our results from 30 years of ministry, enjoying fellowship, and building new partnerships.
I am the Executive Director of Partneri, an organisation that seeks to see Latvia transformed by the love and power of Jesus Christ. Some of our projects include holding summer camps and retreats for artists, organising art exhibits with spiritual themes, and leading seminars and workshops. I am also a board member of the Latvian Evangelical Alliance. Our ministry provides help to Ukraine.
I have been a Baptist pastor, the Latvian Evangelical Alliance President, the Riga city council's Vice Mayor, a part of the Volleyball Federation of Latvia, and a board member of the Latvian Olympic Committee.
Our ministry brings together Christian artists for workshops and camps to improve their skills, strengthen their Christian faith, and encourage them to use their gifts in the church. We also help run camps for youth and orphan children and provide support for refugees. Investing in our ministry will help us serve all of these groups more effectively.
