I am involved in Romania Without Orphans Alliance as a Manager. I am in charge of organising events for adoptive families and their children, trauma training, adoption counselling, events that promote adoption, and Orphan Sunday – which challenges the churches in Romania to be more involved in the orphan care situation. In the Missio Dei Church, I am part of the church's executive team, coordinating the programs and being a community group leader.
In 2002, I was 18 years old and I attended an evangelistic English camp, and that was when I realized that I needed Jesus as my personal Savior. I was occasionally exposed to the Gospel message; my grandparents went to a Baptist church, but until the camp it was just beautiful music and emotional messages. The whole week at camp was defining for me because I was challenged to evaluate my life and decide where I wanted to go.
After the English camp, one of the girls involved in the youth ministry asked me if I wanted to be part of a small discipleship group. This girl became my mentor and my best friend and challenged me to grow in my relationship with Jesus. This changed my life and my perspective on the Christian life. After a few years, I became more and more involved in the youth ministry. The youth pastor played an important role in my life, believing in me and giving me roles in the ministry. In 2008 I started to work for the local church in Arad (Western part of Romania). I worked with the senior pastor who influenced me a lot. I was involved in the Youth National Women’s Team organizing conferences for 5 years. In 2013 the church in Arad split and that was a big challenge for me and was one of the reasons I moved to Bucharest. I needed healing after that experience and more people of God helped me in this process. My mentor, a lady missionary from Czech Republic, helped me heal a lot during that time. Now I am serving and working in the local church in Bucharest.
Participating in the Forum was an inspiring and challenging time. It is a context of connection, relationship building, and learning. We want to participate as a team.
I was a small group leader and a part of the youth ministry team. I worked on the youth and women’s national conference team and led the technical teams for conferences and church services. I was a part of the team organizing different Christian conferences and conferences for the orphan movement. I have served as a missional community leader, been a part of the executive team of the church, and the church program coordinator.
I need an oasis to recharge. To serve the church better, I need to be calibrated to have healthy rhythms of rest, time with God, and exposure. It is essential to be in tune and serve the church well. Our ministry is growing and needs the best resources.
