Adam Szabadosis the director of the Hungarian Evangelical Forum. He also has a popular blog on Christianity with a million views yearly.

When did you trust Christ?

I was raised in the church, so I heard the Gospel from my early childhood, but it was at a Hungarian Fellowship of Evangelical Students camp that the grace of God conquered my resistance. I was 16 years old and felt very guilty about my lifestyle. The Holy Spirit enabled me to give my entire life, will, mind, and heart to Almighty God. After that, I knew from experience that Jesus was alive.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

I married my wife, Dóra, in 1996 and we decided to live in Veszprém and began to attend a church plant in the town. In 1999 I became the pastor of that church. A year later the church became an independent evangelical church. My years as a pastor of the church have been testing times for me, but also very rewarding. Times of loneliness and the burden of responsibility taught me to depend on God and about the incomprehensible covenantal love of Christ.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

What is your ministry?

I lead the work of the Hungarian Evangelical Forum, which is a direct fruit of the European Leadership Forum. I also write for a website that communicates the Gospel's truthfulness to Hungarians, with millions of views each year. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences has published a study I wrote on the Reformational understanding of sin. I wrote a book on Eros (Erosz nyomában, Harmat Publishing House, 2008), which addressed Christians and non-Christians searching for the good, the true, and the beautiful. I received my PhD in New Testament from Károli Reformed University. I also speak at conferences and other events. Until 2017, I was the pastor of a church for 20 years.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

The Forum is a wonderful opportunity to be in the mainstream of European Evangelical thinking and networking.
