In this seminar, we will discuss principles you can apply to both the message and layout of your fundraising communications to be more effective at connecting with an audience, helping them understand the need and how they can respond. We will look at some real-world examples of how the principles have been applied and the results they generated as well as suggest how you can plan to be more effective. In addition, you are encouraged to bring any current materials you are using to communicate so we can evaluate their effectiveness based on the principles we will share and walk away with ways to improve them immediately.
Part 1: In this session, we will see how effective marketing and fundraising communication is really just making and keeping a promise. We will also examine how your promise is different from your mission, but needs to be aligned with your mission and why that’s important. We will also see how design can play an important role in making your communication more effective and close with some questions for you to consider to help you apply these principles with your organization.
Part 2: This session will explore the fundraising plan Moses had for building the tabernacle and how that can help us craft your plan. We will also look at how to tell a compelling story about your organisation that helps people understand how they can participate in what God has called you to accomplish. Finally, we will conclude with some key questions for you to consider to help you apply these principles with your organisation.
