Valentin Giurici is a pastor and a producer of the Voice of the Gospel Radio in Romania.

When did you trust Christ?

At the age of 15, I read a book about Dwight Moody's life. I understood what a life 100% dedicated to God meant and that my life only made sense if lived for God.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

A few books were spiritual steps for me, but some people also influenced me. First was the book 'The Burning Bush' about Moody's life, which caused me to seek the Lord. Second was the book 'The Diary of Happiness' by Nicolae Steinhardt, which was about his years spent in communist prisons, and it helped me understand the price of the Christian faith. Third was the book 'The Ragamuffin Gospel' by Brennan Manning, which enabled me to see that I am loved by God just as I am.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

First of all, the Forum has given me hope. In a world where values are collapsing, I have enjoyed meeting people with an academic background who act in various fields and support Christian values. Then, at the Forum I found a network of people who work in the Christian media world and have new and good approaches to share. At the Forum, we also received information: seminars, books, resources, etc. All this has affected my motivation and desire to continue in ministry with more energy and better preparation.

What is your ministry?

I am a pastor in two village churches and am involved in the Christian media (national radio and TV networks). I'm also involved in mission work in the Muslim world.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I taught in high school for a few years, have been a pastor for 23 years, and have project management duties with Christian radio.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am 48 years old and probably still have 20 years to serve the Lord in the church and through media. The challenges of the current world are new, and I need to update my methods, resources, and contacts.
