Samuel Boross
Samuel Boross is a military chaplain in Hungary.
During my Bible reading when I was 15 or 16 years old, I was convicted to take my faith seriously, trust God, and stop just acting like a Christian. I decided it was time to stop pretending. So, I repented and truly gave my life to God. He has blessed my decision.
Since I started studying theology, I have felt so inadequate. Even though I am a sinner, God is working. I am only His instrument.
Last year, the Forum gave me a serious spiritual boost. In a way, preaching the Gospel is a step out of my comfort zone, and the previous Forum gave me great encouragement in this. In addition, the directness of the speakers and their stories of 'building bridges' with others were very inspiring. The Forum is a great opportunity for growth and faith renewal.
This year, I started my ministry as a military chaplain. Part of my ministry involves weeks of preparation for various field trips, as well as residential training. In addition to this, there are also more informal Bible studies, preaching/worship services, weddings, and funerals. Pastoral care discussions make up the bulk of my ministry.
In the past, I have been involved in youth ministry. I have preached, made documents for Bible study courses, and regularly conversed about faith with teenagers.
The Forum has very high-quality and experienced teachers. I want to learn from them and grow not only in knowledge but also wisdom. Your investment in me will enable me to experience professional, spiritual, and theological enrichment.
