Matej Bordon
Matej Bordon is a pastor in Slovenia.
I decided to receive Jesus Christ as my personal Saviour when I was 17. This happened through a personal relationship I developed with a missionary team member from the United States. This missionary spent a lot of time answering my questions and helping me to understand the Gospel.
Probably the most defining moment in my Christian life was when I decided to attend Bible College in Austria. I studied there for two years and finished a one-year internship. Besides my studies there, men like Chuck Smith, Billy Graham, and A. W. Tozer have impacted my life the most, some simply by living a life of faith and integrity, and some through the books they have written and their call to a selfless life.
I want to return to ELF because participating in different Forum workshops and discussions has always been a blessing. It helps me to feel much more equipped for ministry.
I am the assistant pastor at my church, Calvary Chapel. Additionally, I serve as an elder and a Sunday School coordinator.
In the past, I have served as an assistant pastor, Sunday school teacher, and as a worship leader.
I believe God has a plan and a calling for my life. I desire to follow Him on this path with all my heart and mind. And I would like to be as equipped and prepared for this call as possible. My family is trying to balance work, ministry, and five children. We hope to glorify and praise Him in all that we do.
