Matej Bordon
I’m an elder and a Sunday School coordinator in our church. I also occasionally preach at the church and monthly lead Sunday school.
In 1994, at 17, I decided to receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. This happened through a personal relationship I developed when a missionary team member from the United States visited my town. This missionary spent a lot of time answering my questions and helping me to understand the gospel.
Probably the most affecting moment in my Christian life was when I decided to attend Bible College in Austria. I studied there for two years and finished a one-year internship. Besides my studies there, men like Chuck Smith, Billy Graham, and A. W. Tozer have impacted my life the most, some simply by living a life of faith and integrity, and some through the books they have written and their call to a selfless life.
I want to return to ELF because it’s been three years since I attended the Forum. Participating in different Forum workshops and discussions has always been a blessing.
In the past, I was an assistant pastor, Sunday school teacher, and worship leader.
I believe God has a plan and a calling for my life. I desire to follow Him on this path with all my heart and mind. And I would like to be as equipped and prepared for this call as possible. My family is trying to balance work, ministry, and five children. We hope to glorify and praise Him in all that we do.
