Krystsina Kobryn
Krystsina Kobryn is on staff with IFES Belarus.
My parents came to Christ when I was born and started serving God, and I went to church with them. In 2006, I went to a camp for Belarusian children in Latvia, and during the prayer, I decided to follow Jesus and serve Him all my life.
My parents impacted me very much. My dad's ministry was to evangelise youth via music. I think the defining moment in my life was being healed from cancer. God allowed me to live and share His Good News with others.
The Forum has broadened my thinking about Christian leaders, a global picture of the body of Christ with different gifts to help each other. Many people care, are praying for us, and are planning dates to come to Belarus. It's very encouraging in our situation. This is one of the conferences with people and tools that we, unfortunately, can't find in our country. Mentoring is a very special part for me. It provides growth for me, our team, and pastors who come from Belarus.
This is my eighth year working at IFES. Since September 2024, I have a new position as Acting Director of IFES Belarus. In addition, I'm the Director of the national student conference in Belarus. I minister to students, mainly organising public events.
From 2008 to 2010, I led a youth team in my church. From 2014 to 2016, I was the university's Student Council President and a Bible study leader. From 2016 to 2020, I was a student staff member with IFES, and since 2021, I have been the Program Coordinator of the Christian music festival. From 2020 to the present, I have worked at IFES.
Our ministry continues to grow despite these challenging times for our country. I need people around me who will support me and my strengths so we can continue to spread the Gospel at this time and in our circumstances. So many people left our country, but we keep trying to grow student leaders who will change our nation for Jesus.
