Ilia Caraseni is an evangelist and a PhD student in Moldova.

When did you trust Christ?

I was 22 years old. I started to read the Bible and pray with faith, and the Holy Spirit touched my heart. My thoughts, deeds, and whole life changed. I decided to serve the Lord and dedicate my life to Him.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

My parents' dedication and the Christian life have always been an inspiration. Working as a bouncer in a nightclub/restaurant was very dangerous, and I believe this accelerated my journey to the Lord, also reading the Bible, classical literature, philosophy, and theology books.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

It will help me increase my theological knowledge and hear what others have studied in missiology, theology, and classical literature, my main areas of interest. I want to gain wisdom to teach, preach, and make podcasts at a higher level.

What is your ministry?

I am involved in multiple ministries: I teach school lessons. I am a leader of ministry life at my church, specifically in the coffee and life ministry. I also lead monthly urban youth evangelism events. I am a leader of Turkish Evangelism media channels. I am a leader of 4 Christian English clubs and am also involved in evangelising families in need in the city. Finally, I am often invited as a teacher and preacher.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I led a ministry for international students who studied in Moldova and a ministry to evangelise to needy families in the city.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I dream of spiritual revival in the Gagauz, Moldovan, and Turkish nations. We also have a Christian evangelistic media channel that thousands view daily. I want to increase the ministry, strengthen and expand the team, and make the message more relevant. We are teaching kids and teenagers in schools and clubs every week. I am happy to refresh my knowledge; I am on my way to PhD. So, a Christian/theological academic environment is vital.
