Almăjanu-Anton Abel-Marian
Almăjanu-Anton Abel-Marian is a student and youth ministry worker in Romania.
In 2016, a preacher visited our village, and while at church, God touched my heart. By His Word, I believe that I am a sinner, and I need Christ as my Lord and Saviour.
The Covid pandemic was a defining moment in my life. I woke up alone in my apartment, locked because of the restrictions. There was only me, God, and the Bible. I realised that my relationship was dependent on the sermons, songs, and all that stuff from the church. I had grown cold in my relationship with Him, like the first love in the church in Ephesus. I had forsaken that love, and it was then that I learned to find joy and fulfilment in God again.
I learned about ELF from a pastor at my church. I am eager to learn how to serve God, and I want to discover new information about how to serve in a certain domain directed by God. ELF will benefit in preparing me for this service to God.
I serve at Biserica Baptistă Golgota București, working with youth ministry. I conduct a study group with young boys. I am a preaching pastor at the adolescent and youth meetings. I am also part of the worship team. I evangelise with a group of students from Romania in parts of the country that are unfamiliar with God.
I was the leader of the youth group back in my village. I now live in Bucharest, and I served for eight years on the board of organisation at the camp named 'The New Covenant'. Six years ago, I became an official leader of the camp in Bucharest. I study theology and serve in a local church with adolescents. I have participated in my church's worship team for the past two years.
I love God. I know that He invested in my intelligence, and I want to use that to serve others for His glory.
