Ádám Timár

Ádám Timár is a teacher in Hungary and a church leader with a ministry to men.
I was born and raised in a Baptist church, and over the years, I found that Jesus gave meaning and purpose to my life.
I was baptised in 2012 and started to serve in my church. In 2018, when I experienced burnout, I started asking questions and rediscovering Christian truths.
Several leaders from my church have been participants in ELF. I hope the Forum leaders will provide wisdom and resources that will benefit my church ministry in Budapest.
I am a presbyter at Agora Nyugati Christian Church in Budapest. I am also part of a movement called XCC, a ministry to help men find purpose, faith, and comrades. Men spend 72 hours in extreme wilderness conditions, prompting them to ask real questions about God, the world, life, and themselves. Often they find unexpected resilience, a clearer purpose, and renewed energy for their lives.
I was a youth pastor in my church for over three years. Now, I serve as a teacher and a husband in daily life and the leader of a Bible study group in my church.
I will soon be in a new leadership position in my church. By engaging with other leaders, I hope to grow in wisdom and truth.
