Wojcieh Roeding
My current ministry is connected with Social Media and Church Marketing. I also lead a small group and preach from time to time.
I come from Malbork, a small city near Gdansk. My family was Roman Catholic, but it seemed to me that God was more personal than Roman Catholicism taught. I attended junior high school with a local pastor's son. He came from an evangelical Christian family and invited me to an English camp at his church. It was the first time I met Protestants, which was very strange to me. They prayed before meals, read the Bible, and sang Christian songs. I thought they were a sect and wanted to go back home, but since my parents had spent the money for me to stay, I decided to stop focusing on the religious part and have fun. Over the next year, my life became complicated. My grandparents died, my girlfriend broke up with me, my father started drinking, and my parents started to argue. I was depressed and decided to go to the English camp again to forget my problems. But this time, I listened to everything very carefully. I heard the Gospel about sin, hell, death, hope, grace, love, and salvation because of Jesus Christ. It was the first time I listened to the truth about Jesus. After the camp ended, I met a new friend who was a Christian, and he invited me to a youth meeting. I started to attend the youth group and read the Bible. One day the pastor of the church preached the Gospel, and I thoroughly and consciously decided to trust in Jesus.
The youth pastor of the church I attended when I became a Christian has been the most significant influence on my Christian walk. He saw potential in me and invested his time and resources to develop leadership in me. As a result, he is my role model for being a husband, father, and pastor.
It is a priceless time to exchange experiences, clarity, and fellowship with European and international brothers. The Forum is unique in our country, and I would be highly honored and grateful to be able to participate in it again. Last year, the Media Network was great! I received a lot of inspiration and made new contacts and practical examples. Things about AI were exciting, and I implemented them in my activities.
At first, I was a youth camp leader. Then I moved to Gdansk and became a youth minister.
I am not a particularly special guy. I don't have great knowledge and eloquence. But I love Jesus and want to share Him with others as much as possible in my everyday roles as a husband, son, brother, friend, and youth pastor.
