What is your ministry?
We have disciple group meetings with church members to get to know and grow in the Gospel. Every Friday, we have youth group meetings with the church's youth, and I am trying to serve them in all possible ways. I also help organise and lead summer camps for orphans and youth. I participate in summer camps for orphans as a mentor because I like working with children and teenagers. I also have a few friends who work at an orphanage, and I visit the kids on Saturdays. In addition, I am involved in providing aid to people who have had to relocate from the war-occupied territory.
When did you trust Christ?
At the age of 13, I was experiencing some severe health issues. My mother brought me to the best clinic in Kyiv, and the doctors said they had no medicine for this particular disease. I realised that my only hope was God and that no one else could help me. So my mother took me to church. The entire church was praying for me; my grandmother's church was praying for me, and I also prayed because I wanted to live. I can say that God healed me, and I give all the glory to Him!
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
God healing me was the defining moment of my Christian life.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I expect to attend the European Leadership Forum to learn from participants' experiences and get to know other leaders better. Second, I want to know more about understanding, growing, and sharing the Gospel. Third, I want to learn more about discipleship and youth ministry. Finally, I want to use that information and experience here in Ukraine to develop practical strategies for becoming more effective in making disciples. Also, the Forum is a foretaste of paradise!
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
One of my past roles was mentoring at a summer camp for orphans. We had a great time working with the kids, teaching them about the Bible and many other things.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
I want to visit the European Leadership Forum to evaluate my potential and desire for continued ministry in this area. I want to prepare for working in a youth ministry with young people. I want to learn about the methodology of investing in youth. I want to experience what it takes to serve Christ in youth outreach effectively. I want to learn how to work with troubled youth and build one-on-one relationships.
