Tomislav Jerkovic is part of the spiritual oversight team for a digital outreach project in Germany.

When did you trust Christ?

God made that decision. Jesus came into my life when I was a teenager. I began reading the Bible and praying. Our Heavenly Father filled my heart with His presence and changed my life. When I was 19 years old, I found an Evangelical church where I got baptised.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

The most important change happened in my teenage years when I began reading the Bible, and God came into my life with invisible power to change me from the inside out. Later, when I was attending an Evangelical church as a young adult, I had a youth pastor who discipled me. He was a huge help to my young spiritual walk. Then, in Bible School, there was a missionary Bible teacher who became a role model for me. After Bible School, God opened many doors that led to my studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. I learned many things there and saw many people walking faithfully with the Lord. Later, I served with my family for over two years as missionaries in Ukraine. The Lord unexpectedly called me from theological education to digital ministry. I am now very grateful and fulfilled in the role He has granted me, and especially the family He has blessed me with.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I am expecting to extend my network in Europe through ELF. This might open more doors for the Creedle project to expand into other European countries and languages. I expect to learn much about the state of the church in other European countries through these encounters. I am hoping to also grow my leadership skills through the sessions and groups.

What is your ministry?

I exercise spiritual oversight as a member of the spiritual leadership team of the growing digital outreach 'Creedle' project in Germany, where we reach millions of German-speaking people digitally with solid Biblical content. I also head two content-heavy spiritual leadership teams called Creedle Rockc and Creedle Wordc within the project. Recently, I was appointed to develop additional international partnerships for the Creedle project. I still teach Bible and theology courses at various Evangelical theological institutions, such as Word of Life in Germany and Hungary.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I began with secular leadership roles as the president of the student body in school. As a young Christian, I began serving alongside more seasoned leaders in youth ministry. I was leading the teen ministry at our church for a few years. While studying at Dallas Theological Seminary, I served on the International Student Council and led the Student Missions Fellowship for two years. While serving as a missionary in Ukraine, I was invited to the leadership board of our local church. Now back in Germany, I have been an elder at our local church for the last several years.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

By investing in my attendance at ELF, you are furthering the spread of the Gospel in Europe in massive ways through the impact of our digital ministry, Creedle. The ministry is already reaching millions of German-speaking people digitally. If the Lord uses ELF to open doors through networking with other leaders and countries, we may implement this digital ministry in other European languages and countries. We desire to collaborate with other church and para-church leaders in a given country to contextualise our content, especially to help them be more visible with their existing ministries in a digital age.
