Sonja Stojanovic

Sonja Stojanovic, a teacher from Birmingham, UK, fell in love with the former Yugoslavia in the early 1990s and knew she was called there. She gave up everything and moved to Niš, Southern Serbia, in 1996, to work with a small group of new believers. Meeting her husband, Vlada, there confirmed she was in the right place! Together, they planted Good News Church, where they are seeing people saved and added, after years of fighting for the first fruits in one of the most unevangelised areas of Europe. They have two adult children. Sonja spent many years teaching English at Niš University, and she continues to love working with students and young people, as well as ministering amongst women, and seeing the church involved and active in the local community.
