Raluca Curea
Raluca Curea serves on her local church's worship team in Romania.
Since the age of 14, I have participated in a Bible study group at my local church. During those years, I heard God speak to me personally, responding to my questions, removing all my doubts about His existence, and convincing me of my sinfulness and need for Him and His salvation. When I was 18, I committed my life to God.
As a teenager, I survived a bad car accident. After the accident, I had many questions about death and God. I participated in a Bible study group and had mentors who led me to God. In my early 20s, I started leading a Bible study group. That experience helped me grow more in my faith, love more people around me, serve without expectations or benefits in return, rely more on God in the moments of helplessness, and realise He is the one working through me.
I am more aware of the need to disciple my worship team members, and I started approaching ministry with a new desire to glorify God. I have become intentional and disciplined in my preparation for Sunday service in the way I spend time in the Word for inspiration in choosing songs. I am looking forward to meeting amazing people again from my Network and learning more from other leaders. They have done a great job in their ministries, and I want more of what they have to offer from their experiences, ministries, and walk with the Lord.
Currently, I help lead the musical worship team at church. I am also the founder and leader of our church's book club, which promotes reading in general, but mostly Christian literature and other resources, such as podcasts.
For several years, I led a Bible study group for teenage girls, and in university, I led the church choir.
I want my ministry to help others praise God through music and help younger people read books that will educate them, cultivate their minds and imagination, and help them think critically so they can grow into adults capable of defending the Gospel.
