Paul-David Zagan

Paul-David Zagan is a church leader passionate about leading evangelism and making the Gospel known in Greece.
I was born into a Christian family and actively grew up in church. Despite my involvement, I often felt an emptiness inside. This changed during my brother's baptism. As I watched, I heard a voice asking me, 'Look at your brother—why do you keep ignoring Me?' Those words pierced my heart, and in that moment, I broke down in tears, overwhelmed with sorrow and conviction. I cried out to Jesus, asking Him to be my Lord and Saviour, and my faith became a personal and deep relationship with Christ.
A few years ago, I attended an evangelism tour. This experience stretched my faith as I stepped out of my comfort zone to share the Gospel with people from different backgrounds. Further evangelism programs have challenged me to rely more on the Holy Spirit, refine my understanding of evangelism, and grow in boldness when sharing the message of Christ. Now, in a leadership role, I have learned responsibility and dependence on God’s wisdom and come to see the importance of discipleship.
It will provide valuable networking opportunities with other leaders, evangelists, and ministry workers across Europe who share a similar passion for spreading the Gospel. Learning from them will give me wisdom, practical insights, and encouragement to grow. Additionally, the training sessions will equip me with new strategies, tools, and perspectives that I can bring back to my church and evangelism efforts. Lastly, being in a community of like-minded believers will refresh and inspire me to continue the work of evangelism with greater vision and effectiveness.
My current ministry focuses on evangelism. In my church, among other duties, I co-lead the Evangelism Department, organising weekly street evangelism where we share the Gospel. Outside my church, I am part of Elpis, a project dedicated to translating Christian songs into Greek. We aim to use music to share the Gospel with non-believers and encourage believers with renewed worship.
I led a six-month evangelistic training in our church a few years ago. Beyond my local church, I was part of an evangelistic camp in Romania, where I served as a speaker and led a workshop called 'Sharing Your Faith Through Friendship.' More recently, I led a small group during a training program in Finland.
Evangelism in Greece is significantly lacking, yet there are outreach opportunities. Through Elpis Worship, we're addressing the gap in Greek Christian music by translating songs to reach all with the Gospel. Additionally, I'm actively training and equipping new evangelists to spread the message of Christ, multiplying the impact across the country. Supporting this ministry means investing in the future of evangelism in Greece and seeing lasting change in a place where the Gospel is needed.
