Oleksandr Lavrynenko

Oleksandr Lavrynenko coordinates international partnerships for the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary and takes on important duties for his home church.
Although I was born into a Christian home and raised accordingly, I made the decision to follow Christ when I was 15. A year later, I was baptised at my local church in Khmelnytskyi, Ukraine.
People have had a significant impact on my faith. My parents, ministers, and ministry partners have set good examples by demonstrating ultimate commitment and deep faith. Further, my involvement in youth ministry, translating Christian books, and working for the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary have each had their own impact.
Attending the European Leadership Forum will benefit my ministry in several ways. In particular, it will expand my strategic vision of the global evangelical movement. Second, it will help to develop existing ministry networks and partnerships. Lastly, it will serve as an encouragement for me in my ministry in war-torn Ukraine.
My current ministry has several dimensions. At my local church, I am responsible for translation, which includes both written and simultaneous translation. At the same time, I co-lead a Bible study class and preach periodically. My main ministry role, however, is my work as an International Partnership Coordinator at the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary.
My past leadership roles are associated with children camps conducted by my church.
My work as the International Partnership Coordinator at the Ukrainian Evangelical Theological Seminary is an integral part of the school’s ministry–-training national church leaders from Ukraine, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.
