When did you trust Christ?

I grew up in a home with a Muslim father and a Christian mother, but my mother took me to church from a young age. I began reading the Bible early on and was drawn to what I read, though I went through a brief rebellious phase as a teenager. During this time, the Lord sought me, and I was struck with deep regret over my sins, so I returned to the church. At 19, I joined a Bible school, where I deepened my understanding of the Christian faith and participated in a mission trip. During this time, I decided to follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

Initially, the Bible school set me on fire for Christ, but later, when my church became overtaken by a megachurch, I went into a theological crisis. During this time, I decided to study theology at university, and I came in contact with different Christian thinkers who developed my theology and faith.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I mainly hope to gain theological training, but I also hope for connections and inspiration.

What is your ministry?

I work for Falck Sverige AB and am part of the leadership team for our church's Sunday school program. I'm also currently starting a theological podcast with my brother, Gabriel Stråhlman, in which we discuss different theological topics and make them available for new-to-faith Christians.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was a leader of a local women's group at my church.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I hope to become a greater resource for my church and serve it in a way that glorifies God. Currently, I'm quite worried about the theological depth at my church since poor theological streams like the prosperity gospel increasingly influence it. Also, we have a growing apathy towards important theological questions amongst our members. I hope that I can be a part of a change in my church, hopefully turning this trend around in the adults and also helping build a solid faith in the church's children.
