Mauri Bardelli
Mauri Bardelli is the Youth Ministry Coordinator with Word of Life in Scotland.
I was born into a Christian family, and at the age of seven, after a Sunday service, my parents shared the Gospel with me. That day, I understood that my sin had separated me from God, but that Christ had come to save me and give me new life. That day, I was saved. But that’s not where the story ends. I am convinced that we are not saved to simply be saved—we are saved to serve. God saves us so that we may live for Him.
At fifteen, I was baptised and began serving in my local church—bringing children to Sunday School and helping in the preteens ministry. Every summer, I attended Word of Life Argentina camps, and one night at a consecration service, I dedicated my life to God. At seventeen, I was leading my church’s youth group, serving and dreaming big with my friends for the Lord. One of those dreams, Project 100, showed us God’s power in an incredible way: our goal was to take 100 teenagers from our neighbourhood to camp. We had no resources, but with faith, we evangelised, sold things, ran tournaments, and trusted God. That summer, we took exactly one hundred young people. It was a clear sign of God’s power and grace.
As someone serving in Europe, I see the Forum as an important opportunity for both my personal growth and ministry. It will allow me to better understand the cultural context, build strategic connections, and ultimately serve with greater excellence as I continue to develop my ministry here.
I serve as the Youth Ministry Coordinator with Word of Life in the UK. Our mission focuses on evangelising through outreach, discipling young believers to love and obey God’s Word, equipping leaders to serve, and mobilising youth to fulfil the Great Commission. My main responsibility is to develop and strengthen the local church ministry. I work to empower young people in their faith and leadership. Through this, I aim to help the next generation impact their churches and communities for Christ.
At nineteen, I joined the Argentine Army and served for six years as an aviation mechanic and soldier. That experience helped me develop discipline, teamwork, and resilience. At twenty, I began formal Bible training through the Word of Life Bible Institute, completing four years of theological studies online. I also served as a youth pastor in my church and was later invited to serve full-time with Word of Life in the United Kingdom, where I currently serve in youth and leadership development ministries.
I want to grow and serve for the glory of God and for the people who will be impacted through our ministry. I am passionate about seeing young people take their next step for Jesus and become disciple-makers in their churches. I truly believe that those who invest in my training and ministry are partnering in God’s work to transform the lives of the next generation in the United Kingdom.
