Marcus Tiplea
Marcus Tiplea is an artist seeking to communicate the Gospel through beauty in Romania.
When I was six years old, my father shared the true message of the Gospel with me. At the level of understanding I had in that moment, I put my trust in Jesus as my Saviour. I was baptised later at age 13, after God touched my heart during an evangelistic service at my local church.
I have witnessed God answer my prayers and seen Him shape me through difficult circumstances to be fit for Kingdom work. My experiences growing up in Romania, studying in the United States, and living in Chile have shaped the way I see the world and love the Church. The Lord once used a painful personal situation in my life to encounter Him in a way that never would have happened otherwise. I see myself as having met God the way Job did, which left him utterly speechless and prostrate before the presence of the Lord. It changed me forever, and God has reshaped my affections and redirected my heart towards Him. Today, I live knowing that God is good and that my life is not my own. The thought of meeting Jesus and hearing Him say, "Well done, good and faithful servant," is what drives me to keep on.
I hope to be encouraged and receive clarity on next steps, as well as be equipped in matters of faithfulness.
The last few years have been essential in forming the vision I have for my ministry and calling. I have sporadically created art and objects to communicate themes revolving around the Gospel, Biblical wisdom, and the teachings of Jesus aimed at discipleship. I hope the Forum can be a pivotal point in shaping and encouraging this calling.
Within the church, my leadership roles primarily involve music and occasionally teaching. Outside the church, I see the art I create as a vehicle to communicate wisdom and the Gospel through beauty.
I was invited to participate in the Forum and want to develop my artistic ministry and calling for His glory.
