Marcin Zwolinski
Marcin Zwolinski is a pastor in Poland who will soon start a marriage and family ministry.
It was in 1982, when I was in the Roman Catholic Church. I gave my life to Christ after hearing the testimony of my cousin and a converted priest. After reading the Bible for myself, I was baptised and joined an Evangelical church.
After my cousin's example, my first pastor guided me at the beginning and helped lay the foundations of my Christian life and later ministry. My second pastor helped me understand and organize many aspects of my pastoral ministry and the functioning of the local church. I also want to mention various other pastors, preachers, and teachers that I had the opportunity to listen to over the years, of whom there were many who impacted my Christian walk.
I expect that participating in the European Leadership Forum will inspire me to a new, perhaps even different, view on my service. It may deepen in some way what I am already doing and show me some new perspectives for the future.
Since 1995, I have been the senior pastor of my congregation in Olsztyn, Poland. I focus on preaching, teaching, and sometimes leading worship. I am generally responsible for the overall functioning of our community.
In my first church, I was a worship leader for a while, and then I became involved in preaching and teaching. Another church later brought me on to serve as the associate pastor, worship leader, and a home group leader.
I am retiring next year and will no longer be the senior pastor of our community, but my ministry will continue in a different form. Together with my wife, we want to start a ministry for marriages because we see a huge, contemporary marriage crisis. I trust that participating in the European Leadership Forum will help us greatly.
