Lois Manta is a designer and worship curator from Romania.
When did you trust Christ?
One of my Christian friends invited me to a Bible study at an Anglican evangelical church, where I was challenged that God wanted to speak to me through His Word and His Holy Spirit. I earnestly prayed that night for God to speak to me, and He answered my prayer later that night. I had been dabbling in other spiritual practices, and God had me choose between Him and all my idols. Revelation 3:15-20 deeply convicted me of His love for me, and brought me to repentance, resulting in my being radically born again and on fire for God ever since.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
As I was grieving my idols, Matthew 16:26 popped into my mind audibly, and that is when I chose Jesus. I also knew that if God were to be number one in my heart, all my idols would have to go. Within a few weeks, God asked me to literally leave everything behind and follow Him, sharing my testimony and preaching the Gospel to all who would listen.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I want to reawaken my passion for designing and making things with my hands, listening more intentionally to the Holy Spirit during the creative process, and developing more consistency. I want to be inspired and challenged by other creatives, stepping out and creating in faith. I want to develop better leadership skills, effectively manage deadlines, and gain confidence and clarity in my calling.
What is your ministry?
As part of my Theology and Worship Curation studies at the London School of Theology, I curate worship spaces, worship resources, worship services, worship events, and workshops. I incorporate creative elements in the Chapel worship services, both on my own and as a part of a team. I also curate my own worship events and experiment with different creative ways of worship.
What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?
Before university, I designed logos and posters for different ministries and organisations. I also designed and printed my own Christian merchandise for a small outreach ministry I was co-running in 2023. At university, I was a missions secretary and integrated art during missions week. I have organised and participated in various biblical art exhibitions. I have launched a dance society, produced worship resources, organised a worship flag-making workshop, and organised outdoor worship events.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
God asked me to leave everything behind and follow Him. I desire to improve and further use my design skills and expertise in worship curation to be obedient to Him.
