In December 1996, my friend took me to church after many conversations about God and the Bible. I finally gave my life to Jesus and got baptised on December 16th in a bathtub. It was a beautiful moment.
The most recent defining moment was when I realised that my identity was connected to my being a pastor. At first, I did not know what was wrong with me, but I felt depressed and lost because I could no longer be a full-time pastor and had to look for an additional job to support my family. Then, after listening to one of Tim Keller's sermons, I realised that I made an idol out of my ministry. It was a freeing moment to put my only trust in Jesus and find my identity in Him.
I love thinking about theology, so I expect to learn new things. I also hope to build new relationships to benefit my future ministry.
I am the senior pastor of Golgotha Esztergom. We have a small church, so I do many things at the church, including playing the drums at worship, teaching, organising events, etc. I am also part of the Golgotha Church Hungarian leadership team. It is made up of eight leaders that oversee all the Golgotha churches in Hungary. I am also a Hope for Hungary ministry director, which is part of Every Home for Christ International ministry.
I have been a senior pastor of Golgotha Esztergom since 2006. Before that, I was an elder at the same church.
Because I have been faithful in my ministry as a senior pastor since 2006. I want to learn about leadership as I am one of the overseers of Golgotha Pastors in Hungary.
