Kateřina Kodríková is a regional director of a university ministry, In-Life, in the Czech Republic.

When did you trust Christ?

I accepted Jesus in 2010, in the final year of my university studies. I did not grow up in a believing family, nor did I even believe God existed, but I had a lot of questions about the direction of my life, and in my heart, I wished that there was a God. During my master’s studies, I met people from a university ministry called Integrity Life. I saw their lives were different. I started to research the facts of God’s existence and began to believe that He really did exist. I also started studying the Gospel of John with a friend and discovered what Christianity is really about. At first, I was afraid to see my sin and tried to hide it because I thought I was basically a good person. God showed me that I was not as good as I thought and that I needed a Saviour. Then, I decided to give my life to Jesus and asked Him to come into my heart.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

After I got saved, the example of the lives of faith that I saw in the other Christians in my life helped me to grow and better understand the Christian life.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

Attending the Forum was a great help in learning how to communicate the Gospel to young university students in the 'post-Christian world'. It also helped me in some practical aspects of discipleship. The Forum was beneficial for me personally because it allowed me to recognise and deal with spiritual battles and help others when they battle spiritually. It was a great time of encouragement, spiritual nourishment, and getting to know Jesus better; it also allowed me to obtain practical tools and tips for sharing the Gospel and making disciples effectively. I think returning would help me better know God's Word and how to teach it, share the Gospel, and make disciples among university students. It would also benefit my personal growth in knowing and loving Christ.

What is your ministry?

I am a co-leader of a regional ministry, In-Life, for university students in Bratislava. Our focus is evangelism and discipleship. We hold different kinds of events for university students—from sports and craft activities to conversations in English to Bible studies (one-on-one and also in the group)—to build relationships and share Christ with them. With those who become believers, we meet one-on-one or in small groups to study the Bible and help them grow in faith.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I have been involved in Integrity Life's student ministry since 2010. I first helped organise events, evangelistic meetings, personal Bible studies meetings, and individual discipleship meetings.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

My ministry is mainly among younger people, who are often open to thinking about their lives and searching for the meaning of life. They often want to change their lives or are searching for 'something'. Often, they are open to hearing about Christ. I also want to help other young women grow in their faith and change their lives for the better.
