Katarína Matejková

Katarína Matejková works with a mission organisation using social media to reach the youngest generation for Christ.
The first time I heard the Gospel was when I was 12 years old. I didn't refuse it, but I was afraid to give my whole life to Jesus. In my teenage years, I ended up in a difficult place. At that time, I really decided to give my whole life to Jesus and follow Him with everything.
My mother first impacted me by sharing the Gospel when I was young. When God called me to study theology, it further shaped my faith in many ways. Theological studies helped me improve my critical thinking and gave me insights into different theological backgrounds. With Agapé, I learn how to communicate my faith, and Steiger teaches me how to make real disciples for Christ.
It will be especially beneficial for networking and meeting new people and contacts. I would love to meet people who share the Gospel with young people, whether through social media or in the offline world. I like to be inspired by other organisations and peoples’ use of social media, but also in sharing the Gospel offline.
I am currently managing social media for Agapé Slovensko. We use TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube to reach the youngest generation. We create video reels, interviews with interesting people or non-believers, and podcasts.
I and a few other leaders led the youth group in my church. We made schedules, prepared topics and teachings, studied the Bible, and prayed for each other.
I think that nowadays, it is so important and, at the same time, very difficult to share the Gospel with the young Generation Z. Agapé is dedicated to this, and many people have already been touched and saved. Overall, I would love to learn how to communicate the Gospel more relevantly and effectively both online and offline.
