Kasia Kipiel
Kasia Kipiel helps run an active senior centre and leads worship at various events around her city in Poland.
I made a decision when I was 15 years old at a Christian camp organised by International Messengers in Poland.
I've gone through many seasons, and each of them has taught me something else and changed me. I am very sociable, and I love people. I learn a lot through relationships and service in the church. Sometimes, to put things shortly, I say that I experienced a radically charismatic season, then a doubt season, then a more intellectual season, and now I am a mix of all of it. I feel much more mature and stable, but still open. I already experienced deeply painful valleys where I could not rely on my strength or knowledge, and those situations made me humble, showing me all my weaknesses and how unable I am on my own.
I am actively involved in both a widely recognised church and a local church. I love to connect, meet new people, and learn. I've been part of Steiger, I cooperate with YWAM, Iris, International Messengers, individual missionaries, and I constantly meet people from different organisations. I believe cooperation in unity is powerful and crucial.
I work with a Polish organisation leading a city project which runs an active senior centre in the heart of Krakow. I've always liked volunteering and working with the elderly and looked for more opportunities in the field, so I put all my heart into this job as I really love the people who come. I need to be there for them, ensure the schedule is organised, meet all the project's requirements, hire instructors, and cooperate with other organisations. In my free time, I meet one-on-one with a teenager who met Christ during an evangelistic event I co-organised with Steiger in my city. I am also developing my worship skills, and I lead a group of people with whom we practice worship in order to play evangelistic concerts in places like nursing homes, refugee houses, and wherever God opens the door for us.
I've had many roles, including as a student leader at church, worship leader on Sunday services, project coordinator at Serve the City foundation, member of the board at the church, church conferences /events organiser, and English and Dance teacher.
Christ in me is the hope of glory for others. People are my passion. I take care of people in discipleship, and I like to just stop for the one in my daily life. I want to develop and grow because people in Poland need Jesus so much, and we as Christians have to grow in maturity. In my daily life, I serve people who are over 60 years old, I spend time with them, listen to them, and organise interesting activities for them.
