Juti Wiedrycka
Juti Wiedrycka is the youth group leader at Stowarzyszenie Fala First Baptist Church and helps coordinate various camps and conferences for youth in Poland.
I was born in a Christian family with parents who were involved in ministry. However, when I was 10, I no longer wanted to participate in our family prayers and began avoiding church. I felt insufficient and an imposter compared to my peers. But at my first youth group camping trip, I finally felt that I could speak to God with an honest heart. One of the leaders discipled me in becoming a follower of Christ. After a few years, I decided to be baptised! I couldn't wait any longer to tell others that Christ is my Lord and Saviour!
Soon after my baptism, I joined the youth leadership group because I wanted to make disciples. In my late teens and early twenties, I could see God's plans for me playing out. I became a church worker where my psychology skills were much needed. Now, I may soon open a psychology centre in our church! Through each step of my life, I had many doubts. But God always provided and shifted circumstances so I could do the next thing.
I want to learn from others who are in ministry and be inspired by them. I want to listen to their stories about how God has blessed and changed their lives and in their ministries. I would also like to connect with other youth leaders and find opportunities to collaborate on projects together in the future.
I am the main youth group leader in our church. I coordinate meetings, give workshops and talks, and organise special events and small groups for our youth. I teach an older Sunday School class, which allows me to be a bridge for kids to join the youth group. I also mentor other youth leaders and help them in their ministry. I plan, organise, and lead volunteers for EC Gdańsk and coordinate everything during the camp. I am also a part of the staff for the Winterfresh conference in Gdańsk.
My past leadership roles include being a scout group leader, youth group leader, Sunday School teacher, camp co-ordinator, and conference staff. I have broad experience in leading youth / kids and planning events for them.
I feel that God has called me to ministry work, particularly with youth. Youth are the future of the church, and I want to use my psychology skills, especially since the church can be a magnet for troubled people. I want to help them with my whole heart and create the best environment where they can express their doubts and fears. Because I am still at the beginning of my ministry journey, I want to prepare for the future by learning more about God and learning from the best about how to lead others. To do so, I ask for your support since my finances tend to quickly disappear from my investment in the youth.
