John Horgby is a church leader in Sweden passionate about helping other Christians understand what they believe and why they believe it.

When did you trust Christ?

I was brought up in a Christian household. Yet, I decided to pursue Jesus wholeheartedly as I finished high school and started Bible college.

What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?

A truly defining moment was when I was 15 years old, and I had an encounter with the love of God as described in Romans 5:5. This was my first supernatural experience of God. Since then, I've had the privilege of listening to and enjoying the company of many godly men who have surely edified me in the faith.

What do you hope to gain from participating?

I think it will be an edifying experience of networking with like-minded Christians through which we will find mutually beneficial relations for the sake of the Gospel.

What is your ministry?

My current ministry is mainly focused on helping Christians understand what they believe and why they believe it. I do this through teaching and preaching the Word of God in different settings and leading our church's street evangelistic effort. I am also involved in opinion-forming endeavours for the sake of the Christian faith by writing editorials and partaking in the conservative political sphere of Sweden.

What is your leadership role or what were your past leadership roles?

I was the youth ministry leader in church for approximately six years and then the young adult ministry leader for a further two. For the past several years, I have also been teaching and preaching the Bible in different settings. I was also a board member of a conservative student union in Sweden.

Why should someone invest in your ministry?

I am devoted to the ministry of the Word of God. My simple belief is that God is right, and we are wrong. It is my desire to serve Jesus as we pursue His command to disciple all nations. It brings me both hope and joy knowing that I am not alone in this pursuit, but that I get to run this race along great friends of the faith who share the same desire.
