Jennie Snead is Operations Coordinator for Community Bible Study Europe, whose mission is making disciples of Jesus through community Bible studies made available to all.
When did you trust Christ?
I grew up in a home where we attended church only when it was convenient. Even still, I loved being in church and wanted to attend more often. My college roommate was a committed Christian who modeled a Christ-centered life, but I still did not understand why she was so different from me. After my husband and I married, we began attending an evangelical church. I started questioning my salvation, and while a visiting evangelist was preaching, the scales fell away from my eyes. It became clear to me that I was a sinner and Christ died to pay for my sins, His sacrifice providing a way for me to spend eternity with Him in heaven.
What have been the defining moments of your Christian walk?
Since trusting in Christ, my life has not been the same. I spend daily time in the Bible, learning more about God and how to live for Him. I also search for opportunities to share God's love with others and invite them to trust Jesus as their Lord and Saviour.
What do you hope to gain from participating?
I am a previous participant, and I look forward to learning how to effectively organise and conduct Christ-honoring events, bringing leaders together in a way that will have a long-lasting impact on God's Kingdom. I also hope to network with and learn from many great leaders.
What is your ministry?
I serve as the Operations Coordinator for Community Bible Study Europe. Our mission is to make disciples for the Lord Jesus Christ in our communities through in-depth Bible study, available to all. I am responsible for managing budgets and expenses, IT, communications, and logistics for in-person events for the European Region. I also partner with the Regional Coordinator and the Field Ministry Coordinator to prepare our Regional Servants team for effective ministry. I am also responsible for coordinating in-person events, which occur several times a year.
Why should someone invest in your ministry?
My ministry's mission is to make Bible study available to all. As the Operations Coordinator, I am intrinsically tied to making this mission work for God's glory.
