Jan Osiecki
I have the primary pastoral responsibilities of my church, including regular preaching, meeting with people, and praying with them.
I grew up in a Christian household, with the gospel of Jesus Christ being taught to me from a very young age. However, I didn't understand it until 2010. At that time, I was going through a rebellious stage in my life, and my parents sent me to a Christian camp. During that camp, I noticed people praying and reading their bibles, so I figured I couldn't be worse than them. I also took my Bible to read. While reading Hebrews, I understood the gravity of my sin and the greatness of Christ's death on the cross for me. After I came to that understanding, I asked God to forgive my sins based on what Christ did for me.
My mom died one year after I got saved, and that time formed my trust in the Lord. I also was fighting sin for much of my life, and during the most challenging times, I had to put my final trust in the finished work of the cross. I keep growing in my understanding of God and his grace by studying the Bible and making time for prayer. I've also grown by attending the Baptist seminary in Warsaw, Poland.
I want to grow in more wisdom for serving the church. Hopefully, I will get in contact with future ministry partners.
I've been a youth leader in the Baptist church in Wejherowo from 2015 to 2019. I served on the board of the Baptist church in Wejherowo from 2017 to 2019. I've been a pastoral intern at First Baptist Church in Warsaw from 2019-2022. I was an associate pastor at First Baptist Church in Warsaw from 2022-2023.
Even though I serve as a pastor already, I have much to learn and want to know, hopefully for the benefit of the church.
