Jakov Balint-Feudvarski
Jakov Balint-Feudvarski is a musician leading worship in various contexts in Croatia.
Born into a pastor's family, I have been hearing about God since I was a young child. I knew a lot about God, but I did not know Him. When COVID hit, I had a lot of free time. I started reading the Bible and writing prayers in my notebook, but I was failing math and possibly the school year. I had a big fight with my parents, and then I remember wrestling with God about my life. Eventually, I admitted that I did need God, and I felt light as a feather.
After admitting my need for God, my worldview changed, and it is still changing.
Through the Forum, I've mostly seen changes in my character. Attending the Forum and its programmes has been very useful information-wise, but I find the impact of the people I meet there even more useful. I want more! Each year, I see how much God has worked in my life and how much more I get to learn through the Forum and its people.
A lot of my ministry is done at my seminary since they give us lots of opportunities to serve. My primary calling is worship. I lead worship in church, seminary, and in various youth events and conferences. I also serve at youth camps.
I have led worship in a variety of contexts and also performed my own music before a small audience.
I would like to continue to learn how to build and lead a strong team to worship God with musical excellence, without it feeling like a performance, ultimately uniting people in worship.
